Who lives here

Our animals.

Over 20 breeds call Glenlothian home — many of them rare, all of them happy to see you (especially if you've got food). Pick a name to meet them properly.

A field guide to the farm

Himalayan tahr.

A wild mountain goat from the high Himalayas, and one of the rarest animals on any New Zealand farm park. Keeping them takes a special licence — so this is a rare chance to stand a few metres from one.

Keep an eye out for the rare ones.

As members of the Rare Breeds Society we also keep Enderby Island rabbits, Canterbury Blue pigs and other breeds you won't spot on many farms. Ask us about them when you visit — we love talking about our animals.
